Jane Maudsley – Managing Director

I cannot believe how time flies! 2007 feels like yesterday. My daughter was 3 months old and Little Voices was born. It has always been about excellence and caring for each and every child. This ethos remains throughout the organisation. A child’s development, the individual attention that they receive through drama and singing lessons of distinction is of paramount importance. It is fundamental to us that every child builds their confidence and has their talent nurtured – this sets a child up with skills for life!

At the centre of our culture is integrity, trust, care and confidence. We want the best for every child, every parent, every tutor and every franchisee and our culture, values and beliefs enable us to deliver outstanding education in drama and singing within a safe, fun and creative environment with confidence.

Having read Music at the University of Sheffield, trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and taught singing within a music department setting for many years, Little Voices was the natural next step. I couldn’t see myself at the piano stool aged 85 still teaching singing from home. As much as I loved the voice and watching voices develop something was missing for me from the world of peripatetic teaching. I certainly didn’t see my development from performer to teacher including a PGCE and a school placement. I wanted to work with young people to enhance their vocal skills and life skills as people within a unique framework. Little Voices facilitates a child’s development vocally, dramatically, personally, socially and beyond. We have pupils that go on to the West End and prestigious drama schools and music conservatoires across the world and a whole host of children that have  gone on to non-theatrical careers with all the skills that Little Voices drama and singing tuition has given them. Being able to access children and enhance their education across such a vast geography with our franchise network is unbelievably rewarding and we have a system and support network that enables teachers, musicians, actors and entrepreneurs to build a successful future for themselves through Little Voices too.

Hard work pays off and this is the same in business as it is for each and every child, If they consistently work towards their end goal, whatever that may be, they will get there!

Grace Parker – Franchise Development Director

Grace

Grace joined Little Voices  in 2012 after finishing her Drama Degree at University. Having been a former pupil at Little Voices it was an easy decision to go back and work for the company. Grace initially spent her first three years with Little Voices as a drama tutor in two of the Blackburn centres, and also being the Marketing and Lessons Co-ordinator for the Flagship centre. However, in September 2015 Grace took on her new role of Franchise Development Director. Grace’s role is specifically there to help the Principal’s to build their businesses and to be there to guide and advise the Principal’s through their daily business activities. Grace helps the Principals to set their weekly, monthly and yearly targets and she helps them to reach their goals through marketing strategies. Being part of a franchise network allows Principals to have instant support. Grace ensures she is on the other end of the phone to listen and join in Principals happiness with their achievements and also to listen and work through individual struggles.

Marie Blount – Creative Development Director

Marie is a founding member in the Little Voices story and brought the company to London, Fulham, in September 2008. Since this time Little Voices has gone from strength to strength building a franchise presence throughout the whole country. In 2014 Marie stepped away from the role of Principal of Little Voices Fulham to become the Creative Development Director for the company. This move was made due to her passion and belief in the Little Voices aim and the  want to ensure that every child who becomes part of the Little Voices family receives the very best drama and singing tuition there is within the most caring and confidence building environment there can be.
Marie considers her role within LV as a total privilege. To see children all over the country explore the theatrical world and flourish in a safe and stimulating manner is the most important and rewarding aspect of her work. Marie is a professional actress and considers herself very fortunate to have a successful and fulfilling career in the industry. To enable future practitioners to do the same and start to develop their creative journey is paramount to both her acting career and her Creative Development Directorship at Little Voices.

Hannah Maudsley – Financial Controller

Hannah

Hannah has been working at Little Voices as the Financial Controller since May 2013. Hannah often says that she believes her role is the least glamorous, but it is fundamentally crucial. Hannah is a highly motivated and organised person who ensures that parents, pupils and Principals within the Little Voices network receive the very best service from us.  In Hannah’s spare time she enjoys horse riding, eating out and socialising! Hannah’s wide knowledge of the Little Voices accounts system is invaluable for Principals. Principals go to Hannah when they need advise on how to run their account system, or should they need Hannah to help with any problems.
