Guildford, GU1 3RR

When: 9.30am-3.30pm both days

This workshop is PERFECT for children aged 5-11 years

Little Voices West Surrey are excited to announce our first Christmas workshop! We know how busy parents are, especially around the festive season with so much preparation to do! We are here to give your child 2 days of singing, acting, dancing and lots of festive fun. So you can go and do your Christmas shopping without having to fight through the crowds with children in tow. Phew!!!!

What happens in a Workshop?

Our Christmas workshop is based on the film “Nativity” which is great fun! If you and your child haven’t seen it yet, make sure you do, you’ll LOVE IT!

The children will have a script, a character to play and songs and dances to learn. Our expert tutors are fantastic at bringing out the best in your child and they will grow in confidence, make new friends and enjoy the fun of working within a small cast in a mini performance. Due to the the restrictions around gatherings, any performance will be filmed and sent out to parents after the workshop.

Each day starts and finishes with drama games which will incorporate team building, confidence, vocal and acting skills which, in a highly fun way will ensure that every child is completely happy with the group.

Day 1 all the children walk into the room a little nervous, and not quite sure what to expect, however, at the end of the day they leave with a new set of friends, a script and a part that they will take ownership of and perform in the final mini-performance on the afternoon of day 2. This will be filmed and sent out to parents after the workshop due to the government guidelines not allowing gatherings of adults indoors.

Each child also has to find their own costume and props… We ask each child NOT to go out and buy something, but to use things that they already have at home that they can transform into something using their imagination.

SO we will…
· Learn a script in 2 days
· Be part of a performance
· Learn singing, acting and dancing
· Gain confidence
· Props and costume excitement!
· Learn new acting and vocal skills
· Learn team building skills
