Rhiannon Wijeratne- Pangbourne

My name is Rhiannon Wijeratne and I have recently graduated from Tiffany Theatre College with a Performing Arts diploma.

My love for theatre started at age six when I started at Mo’s Stage School. While at Mo’s I took part in a number of productions such as Oliver, Honk and Peter Pan, at local theatres.

I pursued my love for the arts further at age eighteen and went to Read College where I did a foundation course in Musical Theatre. During my time at Read I had private singing lessons and lessons in Estill voice training, ensemble singing and a variety of acting classes such as physical theatre and improvisation.

My first experience teaching was at my dance school called Conco Dance. Here during the holidays I would hold a Commercial/ Hip Hop class for adults.

More recently while at college I worked at Razzmatazz as a teaching assistant encouraging and supporting the students during classes. After a short while I was promoted to the role of  ballet and tap teacher, teaching ages three to five and also covered a number of drama, musical theatre and dance classes for a range of ages.

Additionally I worked at Pam Freedman School of Dance teaching street dance classes.  Teaching them a routine a week in styles such as Hip- Hop, Contemporary, House, Popping and Locking.

I am very excited to be joining the Little Voices team at St Andrew’s and am looking forward to supporting the pupils enthusiasm for self expression through theatre.
