Meet the Team…..
Principal – Cherice Mckenzie-Cook
Cherice is the principal of Little Voices Welwyn Garden City. Cherice is a trained actress with numerous years experience of working in film, theatre and TV. Cherice continues to work actively in the industry. Cherice has taught drama to children aged 3-18 for over 10 years, both in the UK and abroad. Cherice also holds a degree in Psychology, specialising in Child Psychology (Bsc Hons) and has a keen interest in child development and increasing children’s wellbeing. She is extremely passionate about Little Voices and all of her pupils, she works closely with her team of tutors to make sure lessons of distinction are delivered in a fun, engaging and unique way.
Vocal Tutor – Carol Heffernan
Carol trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, London:BA (Hons) in Performance (Musical Theatre Option). College of Dance Ireland, Diploma in Dance. Carol has many theatre credits under her belt has now hung up her performing slippers and is a full time teacher.
Carol absolutely love teaching and sharing her knowledge, passion and love for the arts with young minds. Carol teaches dance, drama and singing for various schools around London and Hertfordshire. Her pupils have won numerous awards including: ‘Pitch Perfect Team’ and ‘Overall Musical Theatre Winners’ at Pineapple’s Edmonton Glee competition 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Carol is very excited to be joining the Little Voices team and working with pupils in our unique and awesome way!
Drama Tutor – Julius Wills
Julius Wills is an Alumni of the Fourth Monkey Training Company and Year Out Drama company, in between his acting education he tours Shakespeare with Bowler Crab productions in Sussex. He recently became a partner in Broken Word Productions, of which he is the Artistic Director. He teaches Drama and LAMDA and is very excited to be teaching at Little Voices.
