What areas are we looking at within lessons to ensure that your child succeeds in their examinations?

It is really helpful for you to know as parents what the exam board are looking for so that you can assist your child in the learning of their repertoire from Little Voices.

One area that we look at is ensuring that a pupil has a complete understanding and awareness of the situation in which they find themselves. Whether that is a total understanding of the poem, what each word and phrase means and where they imagine it to be and what they imagine it to be about or whether they are taking on the role of a character. In which case they need to know where the character lives, what they look like, how old they are and the situation they find themselves in.

Discussing these areas with your child at home or in the car after their lesson will prove invaluable to their learning and embedding of the knowledge. We cover it in all of our lessons but practise makes perfect and the reiteration and development of ideas really aids their learning.
