You only have one chance!

How has 2015 been so far for you? We only have ONE chance you know!

It is the 20th April and we are well into Spring. I am not sure what the weather was like with you this morning but it was absolutely glorious here in the North West. Blue skies, sunshine – the signs of summer! What have you learnt so far this year?

I learnt some big lessons in March following pneumonia and pleurisy, hospital visits, doctors visits and a long time in bed! This experience was nature telling me to slow down, telling me to take stock, rest and reassess- I am absolutely sure of it. I was so lucky I had a team around me I have built a system that ensures that everything still functions even if I am incapacitated. Don’t get me wrong I would not wish this on my worst enemy but just take a minute this morning to consider what would happen to your income if you were taken ill for several weeks/months or worse?

I just wanted to share what I learnt the hard way with you. Having worked so hard for 8 years and sacrificed so much time and work/life balance, I learnt 2 valuable lessons in March.

  • I learnt the value of having a team around me.
  • I learnt that life is precious and the things that are important need to come first – like being a mummy – as we only have ONE chance at this.

So each day I am going to get the things done first that are going to ensure that myself and my daughter are happy.  I learnt the hard way that for things to be perfect and for money to still flow in and for everyone to be happy it does not have to all centre around me. My team were outstanding when I was off, to the point where several parents have contacted me since and said that they didn’t even know I was absent or ill. This is testament to an amazing team and an amazing teaching system.

Honestly, if you get a team working with you and a system working you really reap the rewards.

Have a wonderful week!
